ONLINE PROGRAMS

All online courses and programs are fully accredited by:
Higher Learning Commission
North Central Association of Colleges and Schools

Founded in 1893, Western New Mexico University has a long history of academic excellence and a commitment to distance learning. Our quality online courses are convenient and very affordable. Highly trained faculty and small class size are key components of online teaching and learning at WNMU.

WNMU offers approximately 100 online courses each semester, ranging from lower-division general education courses to graduate courses. Several degree programs are offered entirely online.

Online education can accommodate the busy schedules of adult learners who are isolated by geography or constrained by time restrictions. Driving time, transportation expenses and childcare costs are eliminated. Within the structure and deadlines established by the course instructor, students participate in discussions, post assignments, and review faculty and peer feedback. All activities are asynchronous, meaning that students are not required to participate online at a specific time.

If you have questions or comments about online education at WNMU, please contact us via e-mail at [email protected] or by phone at 575-538-6584
